BIOGRAPHY:
- 1956 born as Heinz Krautberger in Graz, Austria
- 1974 took the pseudonym of Andre van der Kerkhoff (AvdK)
- visual education : Autodidact
- early influences : Klimt, Schiele, Max Ernst, Ernst Fuchs, Hundertwasser and de Chirico
- 1974 - 1986 worked in Austria & France as freelance graphic artist and painter
- 1986 - 1995 emigrated to Australia and cultivated bonsais in Sydney and Mackay
- 1996 Lives and works in Brisbane as a Painter and Fine Artist
